The method
How we work.
Four steps, from first particulars to a signed closing. We move quickly where speed helps and slowly where it protects you, and we tell you which is which at every stage.
- 01
Particulars & NDA
1–3 daysWe open with redacted particulars and a mutual NDA, signed before names or IMO details leave the room. The owner's mandate governs what we share and when. You see enough to decide whether to look closer, and nothing the owner has not agreed to release.
- 02
Inspection & recap
1–2 weeksWe arrange inspection — physical, class records, or both — and set down a clean recap of the main terms in writing. Both sides confirm they are reading the same lines before anyone drafts a contract. Surprises belong here, not at closing.
- 03
MoA on NSF 2012 or SHIPSALE 22
DaysWe paper the sale on a recognised form and negotiate the clauses that matter to your ship, not a template's. The deposit is typically ten percent, paid to a joint escrow within three banking days of signing. The money sits with a neutral holder and releases only against the terms both sides agreed.
- 04
Delivery, documents & closing
30–60 days from main termsWe drive delivery through to a clean handover — protocol of delivery and acceptance, class and flag documents, and the closing statement. We stay on the file until the last signature lands and the ship is yours. Timing runs from the main terms, and we hold to it.
Our line
What we never do
- We do not circulate particulars without the owner's mandate.
- We do not quote prices we have not seen.
- We do not disappear after the deposit.
